Vantor Names Navy SEAL Veteran Will Cocos to Lead US Government Business
Vantor has appointed former Chief Transformation Officer Will Cocos to lead its U.S. government business, positioning the spatial intelligence leader to scale core defense programs including NGA's GEGD Pro platform and the Army's One World Terrain initiative.
Spatial intelligence provider Vantor has appointed Will Cocos as executive vice president and general manager of its U.S. government business unit. Cocos, who served as the company’s chief transformation officer since 2023, succeeds Susanne Hake, who led the U.S. defense and intelligence arm for the past two years. A former Navy SEAL officer with combat experience in Iraq and Afghanistan and a former partner at Boston Consulting Group, Cocos assumes leadership as Vantor continues to scale its government footprint following its major corporate rebranding from Maxar Intelligence.
The executive transition arrives as Vantor solidifies its position as a central imagery and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) supplier for the U.S. military and Intelligence Community. Vantor operates the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) primary commercial GEOINT platform, GEGD Pro, which currently supports mission workflows across more than 250 federal agencies. Furthermore, Vantor serves as the prime contractor for the U.S. Army’s One World Terrain (OWT) program, a foundational effort delivering highly accurate 3D digital-twin capabilities of global terrain to support synthetic training environments, tactical planning, and readiness. Vantor also provides automated analysis capabilities to NGA under the multi-million-dollar Luno contract vehicle.
