Terms & Conditions

1. Who you are contracting with

Defense Signals™ is a publication operated by Intelica Analytics ("Intelica Analytics", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of defensesignals.com, our newsletters, research library, workspace, APIs, MCP server, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization; if you are accepting as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to form a binding contract.

2. What the Service provides

The Service delivers editorial intelligence, briefings, opportunity tracking, rankings, comparisons, and AI-assisted research tools covering defense, national security, and federal contracting markets. Access depends on the plan you select. We may add, change, or retire features over time.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at security@defensesignals.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. Specifically, you must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of export control, sanctions, or classification rules;
  • engage in fraud, spam, or misrepresentation of your identity or affiliation;
  • infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the Service — including malware, probing, penetration testing without written consent, credential sharing, circumventing rate limits or paywalls, or automated scraping of content;
  • resell, sublicense, or redistribute content or API/MCP responses outside your licensed seats without our written permission.

5. AI-assisted features

Parts of the Service use generative AI to draft summaries, executive briefs, and research answers. You are responsible for the prompts you submit, for having the rights to any content you input, and for verifying outputs before relying on them. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and are provided for general informational purposes only — they are not legal, financial, investment, procurement, or professional advice, and are not a substitute for official government sources or your own due diligence. We may filter, refuse, or moderate content and may suspend accounts for abuse of these features.

6. Intellectual property

Intelica Analytics and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, including software, editorial content, data compilations, branding, and documentation. Subject to these terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service and to make reasonable internal use of its content. You may not reverse engineer the Service or circumvent technical limits. You retain ownership of content you submit and grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact legal@defensesignals.com and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it; repeat infringers lose access.

7. Payment, billing, and subscription terms

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically until cancelled. Card payments are processed on our behalf by Stripe, our payment processor. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues through the end of the paid period.

Intelica Analytics is the seller of record for all orders. Billing questions, invoices, cancellations, and refunds are handled directly by us at support@defensesignals.com.

8. Service level and warranties

We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where practical we will give notice and an opportunity to cure. On termination your license ends; you may request an export of your saved research within 30 days, after which data may be deleted.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

You will indemnify Intelica Analytics against third-party claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, and the state and federal courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If we change these terms materially, we will notify subscribers by email or in-app notice.
