Noblis Acquires FTS International to Bolster Defense, Space, and Intelligence Footprint
Noblis has acquired FTS International, adding specialized space engineering, orbital analysis, and a highly cleared workforce to its portfolio to accelerate tech scaling across national security agencies.
Reston-based Noblis has expanded its national security and defense portfolio with the acquisition of FTS International, a key provider of mission engineering, intelligence analysis, and systems integration services. Founded in 2005 by CEO John Fitzgerald, FTS International specializes in high-consequence operational support for the Intelligence Community (IC) and national security agencies. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but the strategic intent is clear: accelerating Noblis' transition of advanced technologies into operational defense and space environments.
The acquisition markedly expands Noblis' capabilities within space engineering and orbital analysis. FTS International brings established operational experience in mission execution, systems integration, and orbital domain support. These capabilities augment Noblis' longstanding work in systems engineering, digital engineering, advanced satellite communications, artificial intelligence, and scientific research. Importantly, the integration transfers a highly cleared workforce to Noblis, addressing a primary friction point in the current market: recruiting and retaining technical talent cleared for top-secret and sensitive compartmentalized missions across IC and Department of Defense customer sets.
