Lt. Gen. Jason D. Voorheis has officially taken command of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), placing him at the helm of a sprawling $400 billion portfolio and more than 21,000 military and civilian personnel. Formally assuming command on August 27 during a ceremony at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Voorheis advanced directly from one-star rank, reflecting his critical role in shaping the service's future force structure. In his new capacity, he will serve as both the Program Acquisition Executive (PAE) for combat readiness and the Integrating PAE for mission systems, filling the vacancy left by the retirement of Lt. Gen. Donna D. Shipton.
Voorheis transitions into the role following a pivotal six-month assignment leading the Air Force’s Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) program office. There, he led the development of the Department of the Air Force Battle Network, a major system-of-systems linking sensors, shooters, and logistics nodes as part of the broader Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) enterprise. Prior to C3BM, Voorheis managed high-priority platform portfolios, serving as PEO for fighters and advanced aircraft, materiel leader for the F-15 program, and system program director for the B-21 Raider bomber. Brig. Gen. Joshua Williams has assumed command of the C3BM office.
