CNI Federal Services, the federal contracting subsidiary of Chickasaw Nation Industries, has completed the acquisition of SNR Systems, a communications and network engineering services provider. The strategic transaction expands CNI Federal’s workforce to approximately 1,400 personnel and deepens its technical capabilities in enterprise network architectures. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Rock Hall Partners served as the exclusive financial advisor to SNR Systems.

Established in 2006, SNR Systems specializes in advanced Internet Protocol/Multiprotocol Label Switching (IP/MPLS) technologies. These systems streamline network traffic by utilizing short path labels for data delivery rather than traditional, latency-heavy IP address searching. Beyond high-speed routing, SNR’s core technical competencies include legacy systems modernization, network transport infrastructure, IP communications, cybersecurity engineering, data center optimization, and mobile and microwave communications.

The acquisition significantly broadens CNI Federal’s footprint across critical national security and civilian agency accounts. SNR brings long-standing operational relationships with the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, Department of Energy, and Department of Homeland Security. Integrating these accounts strengthens CNI Federal’s position to deliver modernization services as military services upgrade mission networks for distributed operations.

This transaction reflects broader market dynamics across defense IT and government contracting, where Tribally-owned entities continue to leverage acquisition strategies to scale technical capabilities and broaden past performance. By incorporating SNR’s niche network engineering expertise into CNI Federal’s broader federal platform, the combined company gains stronger positioning to capture complex command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) infrastructure contracts.
