What we publish
Defense Signals™ publishes original analysis of the United States defense and national-security market. Coverage falls into four recurring lines:
- Signals — dated analytical pieces on budget movement, program decisions, and industrial-base shifts, each carrying an Executive Brief™ summary at the top.
- Opportunities — structured tracking of federal solicitations and grant notices, with editorial context on why a notice matters.
- Market profiles — standing entity pages for the defense markets we cover, describing commands, agencies, contractors, and the events that shape them.
- Atlas™ mission calendar — a canonical, de-duplicated calendar of defense conferences and industry days, built from named association sources.

Who we are
Defense Signals is a publication of Intelica Analytics. Editorial work is produced by the Defense Signals desk; you can see the analysts and contributors credited on our work on the analysts and contributors page.
We are an independent commercial publisher. We are not a government agency, we do not publish classified information, and we do not solicit or accept non-public government material.
How we work
Every claim we publish is tied to a stated evidence level, and every analytical assertion is labelled as an assessment rather than a fact. Two documents govern that work: our intelligence methodology and our source and evidence standards.
How we are funded
Defense Signals is funded by paid subscriptions and by clearly labelled mission-partner sponsorships. Sponsors do not see coverage before publication, do not receive editorial placement, and cannot influence what we cover or how we assess it. Sponsored placements are always visually and textually distinguished from editorial content. Plans and prices are listed on the Defense Signals pricing page.
